Entry Requirements

No prior mechanical experience needed – just a positive, curious attitude and a willingness to learn.

Course Schedule

We offer these courses every second month, with space for six learners per intake. Each course is stand-alone and runs on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00 at our world-class training facility in Lynnwood Manor, Pretoria.

The following Cytech courses are offered for the cycling enthusiast who is keen to know and understand their bicycles a little better. There are varying degrees of difficulty between them and each course is stand-alone so you do not need to complete them successively.

Cytech home mechanic 2 Days You will be able to conduct minor repairs and servicing on your own bicycle, which you bring with you to class
Cytech home mechanic plus 5 Days You will be able to conduct major repairs and servicing on a variety of bicycles
Cytech home mechanic wheel building 3 Days You will be able to build a wheel from scratch
Cytech home mechanic hydraulic brakes 2 Days You will be able to service levers and callipers, and bleed brakes
Cytech home mechanic suspension 2 Days You will be able to conduct major (damper) servicing of suspension forks and rear shocks

*The Cytech home mechanic courses do not bear credit towards the Cytech technical trade courses as no competency assessment is conducted or awarded, however a attendance certificate will be issued
