Cytech Technical Courses for the Trade Technician

CYTECH TECHNICAL ONE THEORY ONLINE

Cytech Technical One Theory Online is completed from the comfort of home or work and covers the theory elements of the full Cytech Technical courses, and is part of the Junior Technician Programme.

Once completed progression is to the Cytech Technical One Practical.

Cytech Technical One Theory Online is compulsory for learners completing the Cytech Technical courses.

CYTECH TECHNICAL ONE PRACTICAL

Cytech Technical One Practical, along with the already completed Cytech Technical One Theory Online, is the foundational training for the bicycle mechanic, and is part of the Junior Technician Programme.

This two day course focuses on the processes and procedures relating to preparing a bicycle frame for assembly, and the Pre-Delivery Inspection an assessment of the bicycle to make sure it is safe and serviceable.

CYTECH TECHNICAL TWO

Cytech Technical Two is the core training for the professional bicycle mechanic, and is part of the Junior Technician Programme.

This eight day course covers the servicing, repair, replacement, installation, or adjustment of all the major componentry on a bicycle, as well as wheel building.

The professional mechanic can enroll on the individual Cytech technical two wheel building module separately.

CYTECH TECHNICAL THREE

Cytech Technical Three is the specialist training of the bicycle mechanic, and is part of the Senior Technician Programme.

This six day course covers hydraulic brake servicing and repair, suspension servicing and repair, advanced wheel building, and electronic groupsets setup.

The professional mechanic can enroll on the individual Hydraulics and Suspension modules separately.

Cytech Home Mechanic Courses for the Cycling Enthusiast

CYTECH HOME MECHANIC

This two day course is designed to give the aspiring home repair and servicing enthusiast a good level of mechanical knowledge covering an introductory range of cycle maintenance areas. You will be able to conduct minor repairs and servicing on their own bike, which you bring with you, on completion of the course.

For this course we do recommend that learners bring their own bicycles so that they can work on them under supervision in class and therefore be more confident at home.

This two day course is designed to give the aspiring home repair and servicing enthusiast a good level of mechanical knowledge and ability to service and repair their own suspension forks and rear shocks. The training includes air spring and damper servicing, but does not include nitrogen charging, vacuum bleeding or shim tuning.
