The core knowledge and skills to specialist bicycle componentry service and repair

Cytech Technical Three is the specialist training of the bicycle mechanic, and is part of the Senior Technician Programme.

This course covers hydraulic brake servicing and repair, suspension servicing and repair, advanced wheel building, and electronic groupsets setup.

Hydraulics (brakes)
- Mount & post preparation
- Lever servicing
- Caliper servicing
- Hose installation
- Brake bleeding
Suspension
- Suspension fork servicing
- Rear shock servicing
- Pivot servicing
- Excludes Specialized Brain servicing, Cannondale Lefty servicing, nitrogen charging, vacuum bleeding, and shim tuning
Advanced wheel building
- Offset rim & frame spoke length calculation
- Asymmetrical rim spoke length calculation
- Straight pull spoke lacing
- Spoke tying & soldering
Electronic gear systems
- Shimano Di2 (road) installation & setup
- SRAM AXS (MTB) installation & setup
